On 26 March 2025, THESEUS Hub4Circularity took part in the second session of the Hubs4Circularity (H4C) Community of Practice Webinar Series, which spotlighted the United Circles Project EU. The session welcomed Fernando Burgoa, who presented key insights from the project’s development, focusing on practical strategies and achievements in advancing networked industrial-urban symbiosis value chains.
The discussion explored demonstrator projects centered on biomaterials, construction and demolition waste, circular water loops, and wastewater treatment plants, offering a deep dive into how these interconnected systems are being piloted to support the circular transition across Europe under the Hubs4Circularity framework.
The session served as a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, cross-project collaboration, and mutual learning among EU-funded initiatives shaping the future of circular innovation. THESEUS-H4C is proud to be an active part of this growing community driving forward sustainability and symbiosis at both industrial and urban levels.
Hosted by Juliana Queiroz (ZEDO e.V.), the webinar featured insightful presentations and discussions on accelerating circular economy transitions across Europe. Sebastian Engell (Technische Universität Dortmund / A.SPIRE) opened with a keynote on the critical role of H4Cs in enabling circularity at both industrial and urban levels. The session also spotlighted the IS2H4C EU Project, with Dr. Devrim Murat Yazan (University of Twente) presenting key learnings from the project’s development and its four pioneering hubs.
With over 75 participants, the session sparked dynamic exchange, fostering collaboration and sharing best practices across the H4C network. THESEUS-H4C is excited to continue contributing to this vibrant community, sharing insights and driving forward sustainable circular solutions.
