Halcor plays a crucial role in the Theseus Horizon project, contributing to metal processing and resource circularity within the Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) & Industrial Waste Symbiotic Flows pilot. Its involvement includes on-site separation and advanced sorting of metals, particularly copper, to enhance circularity in industrial plants and improve copper recycling for greater resource efficiency. As an end-user and validator of circular solutions, Halcor ensures that innovations in resource recovery and waste valorization align with industrial standards. Additionally, the company supports the replication and scalability of circular economy solutions, leveraging its industrial expertise to drive sustainable material efficiency and waste reduction within the project’s framework.
Mr. Εmmanouil Versis is a Chemical Engineer, a graduate of the University of Patras, and holds an MBA from Alba Graduate Business School. Since joining Halcor in May 2021, he has served as the Production & Operations Manager of the Casting Plant. As of October 2024, he has assumed the role of Plant Manager of the Foundry.
Ms. Stella Malaxianaki holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and serves as a Continuous Improvement Engineer at Halcor’s Foundry. She also holds a Master’s degree in Data Science from the University of the Peloponnese in collaboration with the Research Center Demokritos (NCSR ‘Demokritos’). She has been working at Halcor. since January 2022 and holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification, leading continuous improvement projects at the Foundry.
Mr. Ippokratis Ainalis holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of Democritus University of Thrace and serves as the Maintenance Director of the Casting Plant. He has been working at Halcor since January 2007, accumulating 18 years of industrial experience. He holds a Six Sigma Black Belt certification, leads improvement projects at the Foundry, and is responsible for the overall coordination and supervision of maintenance
Ms. Efstathia Ziata holds a Diploma in Environmental Engineering from the Technical University of Crete (2015) and a Master’s Degree in Energy and Environmental Management from the University of Piraeus (2017). She has participated in European and International programs focused on addressing environmental crime. Since 2020, she has been a member of Halcor, where she is involved in the preparation and implementation of European and National project proposals. Additionally, she holds a Green Belt certification in Six Sigma.
